Re: Display a date on posts listing maps?
I think the reason we didn't do it originally is because for a lot of the maps, we don't have an accurate date. But we could maybe make it optional so that when we do have an accurate one, we could still display it.

Re: can only play 1 game. then screen freezes and I must exit and restart Myth
I don't think the above error should cause the freeze. Can you try selecting DirectX 11 in preferences instead of OpenGL and check if the issue still occurs? Edit: Also, can you post a screenshot of the distorted video? Finally, your logs indicate that Myth closed successfully, but your post says th...

Re: can only play 1 game. then screen freezes and I must exit and restart Myth
Can you provide more information so we can help you? What operating system are you using? If Windows, can you try updating your graphics drivers? If Windows, try selecting OpenGL instead of DirectX 11 in settings or vice versa and see if it helps? Post the contents of your myth_log.txt file after th...

Re: Gamma slider disabled (Myth2 1.8.4 Mac / Apple M2 / Sonoma 14.6.1)
The modern mac version doesn't support a gamma setting. If it's too dark, you need to adjust your monitor or OS settings.

Re: Video Issues on Mac
It's a known issue. You can remove `Myth II Interface (800x600)` from the plugins folder to workaround it until we have a fix out.

Re: Is it possible to remove the "M2" label in metaserver lobbies?
I think the metaserver might have control over it. Here's the relevant code: if (player_data->player.version && (player_data->flags & _player_show_version_flag)) So if the server doesn't send the _player_show_version_flag on the player data it sends, or sets the version to 0, it won't be...

Re: Windows are clipped in MacOS Sonoma.
When you have a chance, can you try this build of Myth II to see if the problem goes away? https://projectmagma.net/~myrd/Myth%20II%201.8.4%20Build%20462b.zip This is the app, so just put it in the Myth II folder alongside the normal one and launch from it to test. Here's a copy of the 800x600 inter...

Re: Windows are clipped in MacOS Sonoma.
Thanks, I believe I know what's going wrong. Your built-in display doesn't report 800x600 as a valid native resolution and unfortunately the code is set up such that it is still expecting it to be there for windowed mode to use it. I can take a look at getting that fixed at some point later this mon...

Re: How is are tag value conflicts resolved in Myth 2?
I don't think it's possible in the metaserver plugin, because it's loaded prior the patch 1.8. You can make a separate add-on that has a higher patch number...

Re: Windows are clipped in MacOS Sonoma.
Or if you use Discord and can be around, we can debug it together. It's not something that reproduces for me, so I'm not sure what the cause is. Do you get the issue even in a fresh directory with only the required patch plugins installed?

Re: Myth II 1.8.4 Released!
thanks for the reply. So big change for you guys, not worth it for a future update? id easily switch out command tab for true fullscreen :) I mean, "worth it" is an interesting question. It's a mac-specific change and I'm the person that's been working on that code historically and curren...

Re: Myth II 1.8.4 Released!
Could we get the game to truly run in "true" full-screen mode? because as is now, hot corners of macOS settings interfere when you bring the mouse to the corners of the monitor when playing the game. Would be nice if it could be fixed :> The problem with "true" full-screen mode ...

It sounds like it's using an interface resolution beyond 640x480 but the window is not being sized correctly.

Unfortunately, it's not really possible with Myth II without a lot of work to code it.
