My friend and I have decided to play thru myth 2 on cooperative play but for some reason we cant seem to both control our own units at the same time, it can only be one or the other than can control the units. Is there a step were missing so that we can control our units together?

Whomever controls the units needs to hand units off to the other payer. Default key is backslash. Look for detach keys in your settings.
