Funky Myth Idea

So I got to thinking what else could really be added to the Myth engine. I ask you developers, could this scenario actually be done?

Okay, so we have moving water that runs across the map. And we've created objects that go over waterfalls and flow down the river, but what about the units?

So basically, moving terrain. Let's take If I had a Trow as a map, and think that down one strip of the center of the map is a giant moving section, kinda like a treadmill. If you step onto it with a unit, the unit will move. It could go all the way up to being as advanced as having many of these at varying speeds around the map, perhaps to take shortcuts or to totally create a new way of Mything. I have a feeling that it wouldn't be "clickable" if the terrain was moving, but if a unit did pass over this section, it would carry it as far as it would take until it reaches the other side.

Experts?


There could be like one giant map that is moving, and you are essentially stationary, but if you stop, you eventually get sucked into a wall of trow waiting to kick you, but you have to fight your way to the finish line. Kind of like those games where you are controlling a car or moving object, and you are stationary, and have to react to the terrain coming at you. Think: SKI FREE!

I think your idea can be accomplished via propel and a force field generator. Check out Fear and start playing with propel within a monster's properties and create a series of zero damage attacks from area of effect point sources you can place on the terrain.

Will be fun to see what you come up with.

Yeah um the most I can do with a computer is play myth and look up porn. I do want to learn how to adjust already made plugins and maps though.

If you can move a mouse, you can do Fear. You basically fiddle with check boxes.

For all the rest I am sure people on this forum can answer.

I can't think of the plugin that has units with propel active, but if I remember correctly it was that coop where you started on a modified map of the great library and you had Rabican among others. It may be called Dream of Death... on it the thrall get propelled by dorf bombs at least on some versions.

To understand force fields look at a map like Lichen unto Death where the generals can make force fields.
