Topic: Thinking about changing to OS 10.3 - compatability issues

Version 1.4 breaks under OpenGL in OS X 10.3.3 or later. Version 1.5 works fine on it, however.

Is there any reasons in particular that you prefer version 1.4.3 because of the imac? Like what issues does 1.5 have on the OS9 imac that 1.4.3 doesn't have?

Unfortunately, the most relevant part of the OS X crashlog is not there, as there is no backtrace after "Thread 0 Crashed:", it immediately goes to the other threads. With out that, the log is pretty much meaningless.

If you're trying to install it on Mac OS X, using the Linux CD, it should be straight forward. Get the manual installer, then make a folder called Myth II somewhere on your harddrive, find the folder called "tags" on the CD, copy it into the Myth II folder. Then, move the "metaserver...

I'll look into getting it resolved. Thanks for the heads up. (I know i've seen that happen a few times.)

EDIT: 1.5.1 will have this as a feature.

Thanks eMouse, your crashlog was helpful. The problem should be eliminated in 1.5.1.

Sounds like you don't have a full install of Mac OS, or have disabled some required extensions using Extensions Manager. I suggest reverting to the default set and see if the problem persists, or reinstalling.

Yeah, the guard command makes them stand ground and attack whatever enemies come in range, but never chase. Stop makes them stand in place and not attack at all.

The reason it says VICTORY is because that particular level still moves you on in the campaign even if you lose, as it is a secret level and was not designed to prevent you advancing further if you lost.

And both of you are using the 1.5 final build?

EDIT: this is most peculiar.. on the 1.5 final build on m OS X system, one of those two films goes OOS, the other doesn't.

Unfortunately I don't know of any occasion when films have helped in replicating a crash, Actually, I've fixed several crashes with the help of films. However, for that to be possible, the film must also crash the game when viewed again, which is often not the case (and not the case in these films ...
