How to edit custom maps in Loathing

Post by Pan87 »

Hi all,

I have project magma Myth 2 and when I open Loathing to edit some of the custom maps I have installed, I only get the vanilla Myth 2 mapset list as an option.

Could anyone advise me on how I can get Loathing to recognise custom maps? I'd like to add some more baddies in.

You would need to use Oak, or UnTag to export the custom maps into a local, and then you can edit them.

Once you extract the tag to your local folder you can edit the map... you might need to also extract the tagset if it is custom units. once extracting the tagset you can use fear to make it a patch file... that way your new map won't need to include all the tagset (unit) files.
