I saw some screenshots of this by Gizmo

I came to ask how far is this to being completed

It looks real good.

If they haven't already been tweaked because the pictures were dated from 07

possibly to replace the Warriors in the 1st level with Hearthguardmen and the Shade in the Rod level with a green/red avatara for Sardonac.

I was also interested in helping out with this plugin. If I may?

I don't know if he really was doing a Myth 3 to 2 port. Though there are things that will not be possible to do in M2 that is possible in M3.

Gizmo had wanted to do a conversion, however that was a few years ago now. He's quite busy these days.

That's not actually true anymore, just takes a bit of ingenuity =)

Saw some of these screenshots floating around also- not exactly sure where though.

Intrigued to say the least.

Even though I don't have the original cmaps nor my own copy of m3 (yet, will in about 2 days) I have started work on the first chapter (first 7 levels)

i'm having fun making it, even though i'm using cmaps i traced and heavily followed the originals using photoshop they look neat :D

NOTHING will discourage me from this :D

P.S anyone who has the m3 goodies mind extracting the movies for me? :D?, its just in the m3 folder itself no fancy stuff required, I'd do it myself but i don't yet have it :D

As far as i can remeber m3 cutsecenes were "rdy" stand-alone mpeg files view-able with f.i. quicktime app, right ?

btw m3 cutscene were rly..... um lets just say that they didnt look 2 well ;) how about making in-game cutscenes based on m2 engine - maybe such stuff could be cooler... ?

Heres a screenshot i took while playing "the nest" i made

http://www.deadreckoningstudios.com/Scr ... s/M3N1.bmp

didn't have the original cmap so i drew/traced a new one.

there some more just change the number of "M3N1" to M3N2 or N3 all the way to N7

I suggest saving the images in a different format. That first BMP is like almost 7 MB. Save them as JPG and they won't be as huge in bytes.

Holy cow batman! I don't believe I've ever seen anyone post a 1920*1200 BMP before, not to mention 7 of them
