Mac os X panther 10.3.4

I installed a virgin copy from CD.
downloaded the latest update (full)
did the update (followed instructions).
upon starting mythIII i get the message error
"you must have......patch1_1.tag" in the patches folder.
Only thing there is the old "PATCH1.tag"

Where do i get the new one?

Ok I downloaded the patch 1_1.
put it in and I still get the same message error.

I guess I will try fixing permissions, and restarting perhaps that is what is
needed.

But what of this new 1.3 update?

it is NOT a magma project, you can find it in downloadssection on
http://www.flyingflip.com

if you have questions on 1,3 you'll have to ask em on their forum though (in support section)

also for 1,2 you have to put

patch1.tag in patch folder

patch1_1, patch1_2 and Pluginpatch1_1 in plugins folder

that was probably your problem

Hmmmm nope.
Have what you mentioned in the exact folders you describe.
I still get the Patch1_1.tag message.

still not sure why its not working.
More suggestions?

guess I could try a total uninstall and start again....seems weird its not working.

Download the updater(the small download) and install it, I made a post GM fix and I probably only updated the the updater becuase the fix where only for people with your problem. Just make sure you have a plugins directory that contains Patch1_1.tag, Patch1_2.tag, PluginPatch1_2.tag and no other patch files.

Well...finally got the game to fire up.
However now it crashes when I try to start "new game"
the video works fine but no matter what setting I use for the screen setting
after hitting "new game" I get kicked out to my regular desktop and get the infamous "applicaion has crashed" message.

Not sure what's causing that.
anymore suggestions?
Perhaps I will totally uninstall and re do it all.
hmmmm.....

It sounds like you don't have all the patch or tag files installed in the right places. Post your directory layout and file listing here and we can mb see what's wrong with it.

I used the flying flip install and got things working.
Just for anyone wanting to know.
Still no idea why earlier versions were not working.
Thanks all for your comments.
