What happened to rendezvous lan games?

In the 1.5 beta me and my friends could play 1v1 over the LAN via rendezvous, we all are on 1.5 now, and the option is gone, what happened?

It got pulled due to issues caused with OpenPlay networking it caused a number of issues for the windows folks we so pulled it and went back to the 1.4.x networking code for the final release. We are looking a putting it back in for 1.5.1 or so.
