Sorry man, his lashing out at magma and mnet doesnt make any sense. He deserves to be banned for that alone, I wouldnt put up with that shit.

If his "enemies" at PM got him banned for no reason, thats funny
If he conned someone into giving him money, thats funny too
If hes truly innocent, or he cared at all, he would post on the m4 forums and clear it up in a second. Instead: "its really a waste of my time."

How many times has he threatened to can m4 if we didnt donate? bah

I meant the myth community, not the actual game itself that he doesn't like. And who can blame him?

Magma/forum members have just as much responsibility for the conflict as ren does with way they poorly handled the initial announcement thread that started all of this (and I do mean all of it). I take responsibility too for jumping into it when I did, trying to play damage control (and ending up exacerbating it).
If hes truly innocent, or he cared at all, he would post on the m4 forums and clear it up in a second. Instead: "its really a waste of my time."
Who said anything about innocense? Ren has records showing the money sent to him was through a donation paypal account. I can access the paypal history and have verified this. That's not the issue anyways - the monetary aspect was just another talking point, the main thing is that he distributed the models outside of magma.
[ADMIN EDIT: This is actually not true. He was banned for selling them, not giving them away. Giving them away was a violation of trust, but not nearly as bad as the sale.]

Not that any such exclusivity rights exist with the models and magma, but it is entirely up to magma's discretion to ban someone with or without cause, so if they didnt like the fact he distributed the models then it is well within their right to ban him on that reason alone.

Say what you will about ren but his passion for myth is beyond question. And it's not the myth community he doesn't like - if you believe that i got a bridge to sell you. Its just a select cluster of people, not the entire community. Not all of magma (or the people who work with them). And he wasnt threatening to can the project because of no donations, he was stating that without it he wouldnt have the time to work on anything because of the constant pressure of scrambling for money to take care of his sick dad.

Think what you will but his motivations are not greed or selfishness. He's pretty much totally dedicated to taking care of his dad and keeping the house theyve lived in, and the means with which he does so he feels is justified, even if it is not seen that way unanimously. Anyways im not trying to start an argument. Its unfortunate this is how it happened, but i'm tired of hearing wild speculation and assumptions of why it happened, that's all.

Can we just stop all these topics? Like, seriously? It's just going to cause more flames and basing, not something we need, I'd say.

Ok, I guess I was wrong. Thanks for replying. m4 aside, Ive really respected him and enjoyed games with Ren, it is a big loss.

But if there's a war, I have to side with Magma and Marius, it does not matter over what. As far as I can tell they have been excellent stewards of a game that means a lot to me.
