Not rocket science, and not that time consuming, but if Blades isn't finding time to work on things, and Myth is really low on his list of priorities (which it should be given his RealLife), it's probably not going to happen soon.
Not quite.. any PMA can change the blue bar i think, and it doesnt require a coding change.. the issue was a bug that crashed the server when someone changed the message.. meaning multiple people can change it but blades is needed to reboot the server

Even if any PMA could, can any PMA do anything without direct access to the hardware like Blades has? And I must say...it'd been quiet on the admin front lately anyway

there are players who are admins such as ed that are around.. but without blades around atm changing the blue bar will mean no playmyth at all until blades is back.. which defeats the whole purpose of changing it

Actually if the purpose is to get people to play on mnet, it would achieve the same effect... ;)

30 May he said he was away 12 of the next 20 days. So he should be back now?

Yes, but if the server just disappears without a proper organised switchover we will lose a large chunk of the community.. more than we can probably afford. It's inevitable that were gonna lose some people even in an organised switchover

Yay, blades is not angry!

I hate living under an angry god. Not much security.

Yeah Frum, I always get "Who Mourns for Adonis?" flashbacks.

Happy to hear Blades was only away due to paying gigs. Sweet! :D

Edit: I am so stupid. I quoted the message.

But one thing that doesn't sound stupid (or will it?) from my original post:

Blades seems alot happier than his last update.

Perhaps a hamachi channel would help slightly in the interim.
Im pretty new and it's frustrating not having somewhere to play, I just registered with mnet but it seems to be taking for ever, so would hamachi be an option rather than putting pressure on blades to get things up quick snaps.

Mnet doesn't take forever... it was temporary down that one time. Try again. And I don't know what a hamachi channel is. I tried looking it up but well someone else more qualified will respond. :)
