Controls menu always visible

I seem to be having the issue that the controls hint menu (displaying all the keyboard shortcuts) is permanently visible during gameplay.

I've already tried playing around with various settings, like changing the graphic API, but to no avail. Pressing F8 during gameplay also doesn't toggle the menu on or off.

My version is v1.8.0 - Build 427b

You might have a stuck key. Press the Insert key a few times to see if that was stuck. If you are playing multiplayer then also try F1.
