Myth2 1.8 build 422

Post by pallidice »

hi pallidice here. Just wanted to inform you that the freezing issue did not seem to be solved like people were saying. I recently played cbi legendary on great library with 1.8 mac classic and ever 1 to 2 min there would be a 5 sec or more freezeup. For more info myth 1.8 beta 2 works awsome no freezups... not sure what you did but its not working. Also of less note mastercheif says the waves are all messed up in new 1.8. Ex.
the waves come all at once or sometimes they stop coming all together.

Are you sure it was not lag? If you load the film of that (or similar) game, does the same happen? Also, can you load a game and then post the myth log it creates for you? We can use the log to see if something changed between PB#2 and 1.8 for you.

The waves being messed up doesn't sound like a 1.8 issue. A film could help determine what was the problem as well as a film of when it is working correct as far as you know.

As as Pyro asks, can you move/orbit the camera, etc. when it happens?

Have you tried the 1.8.0 Mac OS X version instead of the Mac classic or is that computer not an Intel Mac?

Does 1.7.2 work better? Can you post the myth log?

I'll have to wait until it crashes again to get the right log I think. But this is the one I have now:

Right, yeah no crash in that one. We'll need one from directly after it crashes (before running myth again). Or if you have any "myth_crashlog" files in your directory.
