Trouble Playing Myth TFL

Post by Drewsky »

Every time I install it (New Windows 7 laptop) it tells me I don't have enough memory or swap space to launch. I had no issues getting Myth 2 to run but TFL for whatever reason isn't.

I would think others have run into this issue... any tips?

Thanks

I also had this problem on Windows 7, I've solved it this way:
You need a computer running windows xp.
Next install Myth 2 or TFL on this computer (although TFL can be a problem because the game is very old.)
We are looking for a folder with a game and we move it to a USB flash drive
Move the folder from a flash drive to a computer running Windows 7 on the desktop (or wherever your heart desires)
Inserting a Myth 2, we open our folder and run the game!

If there is no windows xp, then I welcome your suggestions.

I recommend playing TFL in the Myth 2 engine with The Fallen Levels

Or, if you must run the original TFL, you can use my TFL launcher

Hello,
I played Myth "The fallen lords" initially when I was very young. I would like to try it once more although I have Windows 7 and I recieve the unique error that I have not enough ram and I have something else running and I should close this application prior. I have read the other comment although I do not own a secondary computer that would have a lesser operating system to first load it on to.
Any help would be appreciated.

If you want, I will try to get the English version of Myth 2, install on my laptop running XP and send to the Tain. Naturally you have to have the original disc Myth 2.
If I can cut the tags, and you insert the tags from your disk Myth 2. :|

Please forgive my error. I did go to your launcher just now and tried to run it. It told me that there was a DLL error after I hit run.

I do. That dll file is there. I get the initial prolog and the cartoon were the soldiers drop the apple core into the water. Then it boots me back to desktop. I had my disc in on the initial attempt although it just sat and spun.

What was the exact error message? You need both launcherdll.dll and launcher.exe in your myth folder for the launcher to work.

Hello Melekor,
I went to yoour tab. I do not see a file named that although I clicked on both. Only one executed. How would I get that file into my folder if I cannot find it?

In my MYTH file I have.
