K......care to tell some details surrounding what happened, or are we supposed to just guess?

Thanks for the posting Baron. Ignore Godzfire, the log is sufficient for the first post.

Based on the location of the crash in the sound code, do you have "3D Sound" enabled? That option has been known to cause crashes so using it is not recommended.

Actually DON'T ignore Godz, more details are ALWAYS good, and you can't tell me that isn't true Mel.

Asking for more information is normally better when you are specific. If the user did nothing unusual before there was a crash they won't know what to add. This is such a case. The log shows he loaded standard stuff and gives enough clues as to what the problem might be for this situation. Being condescending will likely drive people away from even posting crash logs to begin with, hence the ignore comment by Melekor.

Meh

(I was going to try and think of a compelling and competitive retort answer, but then got lazy)

Heh kinda forgot I posted the crash log.

It happened upon starting a Gimble game (no plugins) and I crashed once the loading bar got to 100%.

Yes I have 3D sound enabled. Will I notice a significant difference disabling it?

This has only happened 1-2 times recently so not a major deal.

I've always preferred Myth's normal sound over 3D sound.

Besides not crashing anymore? ;) The 3D effect is not a big deal imo. ymmv but I suggest just trying it.

3D sound is pretty bad IMHO... honestly if it were up to me I'd remove it entirely; it does far more harm than good.
