1.7.2 installer won't install from CD on Ubuntu 11.10

I can't install from a Myth II CD using the full Linux installer from http://tain.totalcodex.net/items/show/m ... -7-2-linux . When I run "./installer" and choose "Install Myth II 1.7.2 From CD" with a Myth II Soulblighter PC version CD in the CD drive, the installer gives a dialog saying "Please insert a Myth II CD".

My system is Ubuntu 11.10 64 bit.

I ran the installer from the CD via Wine, and using the installer to install 1.7.2 from an existing installation seems like it will work, so I'm going to try that. Here's the info you asked for:

What kind of CD do you have? It seems to be unlike any Myth II CD I've seen before.

In particular, usually the Myth II CD will have a folder called "tags" that contains the foundation files. In your case, there appears to be a single Setup.exe that's over 500MB in size, and likely contains all the tags within that file.

I am curious about the origin of that CD... Screenshots from the (Windows) installer on the CD might shed some light here...

I lost my official Myth II CD a long time ago (or my brother stole it ).
