if your on 6-08-11 version mac and pc patches were having some issues with plug naming .. if you download the plug or patch on a mac delete the _ space at the front of the plug name manually then man and pc's can play together...

Not sure if I had tried this before, but I'm downloading and I'm gonna check it out. If I can form any coherent opinions I'll post about it

Some of this stuff I think is good: I like the actual graphics of the units and especially the tanks. I like the look of the wAvA tanks more then any other Myth tanks I've seen. I also like the idea of having prone crouch and standing positions. From what I've seen of the maps they also seem pretty interesting.
Some of the problems: Some of the graphics seem to have light pixels on the edges (for instance the halftrack and jeep) that could be improved. Compare those to the edges of the "Tank Destoryer - Achilies" which is done good. Also there seems to be a strange group of white pixels below the unit rings, and below other units.
Can the vehicle shadows be made any bigger or darker, to possibly lessen the "floating vehicle" look that happens sometimes.

Like I said I like the crouch and prone modes. But the current system seems overly complicated. I think for every character they should simply have 3 modes: standing (running/fast walk, very visible (can be seen by enemy units from farther way)) crouching (slower but less visible (enemy must be closer in distance to see you) prone (quite slow, even less visible (enemy has to be very close to see you, except each fire reveals your location briefly)) It might be a myth engine limitation but I think it would be cool to control a units speed by double clicking on the ground. So you want a solider to get somewhere quicker just double click for running and get a burst of speed for a time.

The unit buy system seems overly complicated and buggy at times (I had enough points to get an item but it would not add) I think the numbers should be simplified.

The transition animation for crouching and going prone seems too fast, it should take a little time to change positions.
The sound and visuals for mortar explosion seem pretty weak. Grenade damage seems off (i would expect a grenade going off right next to a character to cause more then orange damage)
Scale of rifle propelled grenade seems off (too large)

Well I guess that's about all I got right now. Really what I'd like to see is AvA with a simple crouch and prone function mapped to the i key and which also affects your units visibility.
