deadhold and Fear

Post by spoon »

Hi Everyone

Couple of things. Firstly, thank you for supporting myth, you guys are awesome.

Secondly, is there a version of Fear that works on linux (ubuntu 14.04 specifically)? Ive switched over to a beater comp with linux on it for both work and myth and im digging it but... having to edit formations on a different computer and importing them to my laptop is rather crummy. Any ideas?

Lastly, Im quite curious about the Deadhold development. I know Jon God is testing it but i was wondering what kind of state its in and if there is any kind of projected timeline for an open beta. It looks awesome so keep posting videos please. Any links to videos would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

There's no Linux native version of Fear. I think when Loki originally ported Myth II to Linux, they did also port Fear - but the code for that was never recovered and the binary most likely won't work on modern Linux. Your best bet is to run the Windows Fear.exe in Wine.
