Dol Baran Parched Earth v2.1 Bug

Bug in The Tain » Myth II: Soulblighter » Coops/Netmaps » Dol Baran v2.1, solo map "The Parched Earth" -- I've gotten to where the Journeyman is reading the Total Codex. But he keeps on reading it, even after I've killed every enemy on the map and explored it completely.

Anything I ought to have done?

If you don't want the Journeyman to be stuck reading the journal, before you pick up the journal you have to find the school building and enroll the Journeyman in the Evelyn Wood Speed Reading course.
