Uploading documents by other authors

Post by vinylrake »

Admin question:

I was wondering what the procedure is for uploading Myth content one is not the author of? I have permission from the original author to share the content but don't want it to look like I am claiming credit for it when I upload it.

Also, for non-plugins, do largish files (50+ MB) need to be compressed? If so, is zip still the standard?

If you add the item under your name along with a note, an admin can alter the author field when the item is approved.

Non-plugins don't necessarily _have_ to be compressed, but there should be a good reason if you choose not to, e.g. if no filesize savings would occur. Zip is still the standard as it is well supported on all our target platforms.
