Re: Missing info & links on Magma download pages?
Theoretically, the requirements are the same as when the game was originally released. So for Mac, in theory that means as far back as System 7.5. Who does know the OS cut-offs? In Mac-speak, Classic = "any OS before OS X", so sounds like your Classic build would be for OS 7.5 through 9, ...

Anyone know the answer? What are the requirements? The OS X version is...Intel only? OS 10.4 & onward? And the Classic version is...PowerPC only? OS 9? Earlier? OS 10.0-10.4?
And the Windows requirements?

Re: Missing info & links on Magma download pages?
Also, might be good to have the updater page tell the Windows & Linux system requirements too. Unlike Mac there's only 1 download to choose...but how will people know whether it's good for their [possibly old] system?

Missing info & links on Magma download pages?
I noticed 2 things that seem to be missing: 1) The demo page: http://www.projectmagma.net/what/ Has links for the updater, but is missing several things that are found on http://www.projectmagma.net/downloads/myth2_180/ such as the Mac Classic updater, detail textures, and the Fear/Loathing guides. ...

Thanks! It took some effort to track everything down and collect it, and I do want it accurate!Pyro wrote:Just noticed there is a link for 1.5.2. However that update was renamed to 1.6.0, so there never was a final 1.5.2 just betas which lead to 1.6.0 betas when it got big enough.

Re: Dates on Tain uploads?
you might end up with uploads of very old plugins with an upload date of say a year ago You mean because an old plugin just "recently" got uploaded? The plugins themselves seem to retain their "old" file dates...I have recently downloaded plugins that are 98, 99, 2000, etc. How ...

Re: In myth auto search function is not working
So far everytime I've used that "lookup" arrow, it says "not found". Perhaps every person I've tried it on was using a different version than the Tain.Pyro wrote:If the plugin is not at the Tain (different version or corrupt) that would be another reason

Re: Tain missing some Read me files
Some changes were not fully documented back in the earlier days compared to more recent years. Thanks. I did eventually find everything I believe, and collected it all together here: http://mythipedia.wikia.com/wiki/Release_Notes_For_Myth_II I did find those udogs readmes and used them a little bit...

Although I'd still be stuck with no f7, or teams/flags/scores displaying? If I can't match netgame play "reasonably" close enough, it would fail in my main goal.fildred13 wrote:that's a good place to look at the very basics of setting up multiplayer myth.

Re: When autohost chats, sometimes it hotkeys the interface?
My old post is gone, but I mentioned that this happens to me, it triggers randomly when tabbing between myth and other applications. To fix it, just tab back out, and back into Myth. It's not connected to the autohost, as it can happen when just sitting in the lobby. The problem is, sometimes I onl...

Could be. Unfortunately I've played almost no net games (yet) since returning to Myth. Just solo, & autohosting.Melekor wrote:I think it's more likely to be a general issue with the mac keyboard code.

Re: AI netgame teams
LOL@meme I think it might be useful in a number of ways. Like, you could learn a map somewhat by wandering it now solo in a netgame...but that's boring/unmotivating. It might be more fun, and you might pay more attention to terrain & approaches & formations & being adaptable/reactive, if...

Re: AI netgame teams
I'm ok with the AI being very dumb, and see how I like that arrangement. Far dumber in tactics than any of the examples you gave. This level would be more like a training dummy, than an actual MP simulator. I'd probably have the # of units vary with Difficulty...on Normal, AI number = player's # of ...
