Re: Is Apple's move to end OpenGL / OpenCL the end of Myth?
looking quickly, it seems like the project includes basically all the myth code. Even if it isn't all used, it's all tangled up together, probably was too much work to separate out the needed bits so no one ever bothered.

Re: Is Apple's move to end OpenGL / OpenCL the end of Myth?
Good memory. Yeah, Idles was porting it to wxWidgets. I don't recall exactly how far it got but I believe it was more than 50% done (should check it out at some point and see where it's at). Finishing that up would be the best bet for loathing on modern OSX. Loathing in Oak: Loathing uses the Myth c...

Re: Is Apple's move to end OpenGL / OpenCL the end of Myth?
We've already reached the end of Myth essentially as 10.14 broke Oak and 10.15 killed off Fear and Loathing. There are no devs left to update them and the remnants of the ProjMag team left (1-2 people) don't seem willing to allow new devs who want to help in. It's really unfortunate. I am going to ...

Re: Exporting 3D Models to 3D print Maps
You can use Oak to export models into lightwave (LWO) format. The positions of the models on the map, there is no way to get really. You'd have to position them manually.

Re: Old film recordings; tracking down Daniel "Asmodeus" Gen
It's probably possible to run it with some kind of emulation (e.g. WINE) instead of physically setting up a super old computer. The trick will be finding the right Myth I binary to run, the film files are dated before may 2000, so that puts an upper bound on which version it might be. The 1.3 update...

Re: Screen res shrinking after loading saved game
I see, you are on a very new version of OSX. It's quite likely you are running into a bug specific to that version, we had at least one other user report something similar: http://tain.totalcodex.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=7318 Check out the video linked from that topic. Can you confirm your ...

Re: Screen res shrinking after loading saved game
You didn't give any information that might help with troubleshooting. Operating system, hardware, version of myth you are running. Posting your myth_log.txt would be good as it automatically answers some of these questions. General advice for graphics related issues is to update your video card driv...

Re: Old film recordings; tracking down Daniel "Asmodeus" Gen
Myth I or Myth II?
For Myth I you will need to run the original version that the films were recorded with.
For Myth II, the latest update should be compatible with all old Myth II films from any version. If you found some that don't work, you can upload the films here as a bug report.

Re: unit transparency
Time flies, hard to believe it's already been almost a month since I promised to add shadow generation. I finally had a few hours to sit down and do this today. New alpha up on the builds page including the shadow functionality. I also added support for specifying a lot more stuff in script.txt, her...
