If you have the "Patch Mariusnet" file in your plugins folder (or something with Mariusnet in the title) remove it. Then you can play on PlayMyth.

For now, The Tain Archive or the maps hosted at PlayMyth are the best thing available.

Iron did some high res units for Frenzy of the Damned (not all the Myth units, of course).

3D units? Personally I prefer the 2D sprites. TFL wouldn't be the same in 3D.

Marathon was their first big game, thus they didn't want to get rid of it.

I do think the releasing of it as freeware was Bungie's idea, and I don't really see why Microsoft would refuse. Bungie could still make another Marathon game and get money, so Microsoft really has no concerns.

The way we've done it so far, turning TFL on and off would be out of the question.
