Re: enable uPnP
Did you host the game before running the host checker? Many people have mistakingly tried the host checker and seen it fail because they hadn't hosted their game before running it.

Re: enable uPnP
vinyl, I *wanted* the ip address, specifically. :D But, we can move past it.. Before you said it was a router after your modem, but in your last post you said it was a netgear hub. Which is it, router or hub? Since you said you can bypass that part, I'll ignore that for now.. Before making any chang...

Re: enable uPnP
I'm trying to do this all from the ground up, so don't feel offended if you've already completed a step. This is just to make sure we're all on the same page as far as settings go. Added questions: What is your ISP? (This helps when looking up configuration information) If you know the ip address of...

Nation: I can help with your port forwarding. What is the layout of your computer network (e.g. modem > computer, modem > router > computer/computer/computer) + model numbers of the devices? Type of Internet connection? What is the computer you are trying to host on? Mac or Windows, what version? Do...

Problem with tain plugin finder
A plugin was uploaded to the Tain by Sublime. WWII_Devils_Backbone - http://tain.totalcodex.net/items/show/wwii-devils-backbone When he was hosting on Mariusnet.. trying to join his red game, the search via the missing plugins dialog came up not found. Manually downloading from the Tain and installi...

Re: Ever hear of a myth-related app "Fireworks"?
I haven't played the map so I'm not familiar with its graphics, but I think I remember an old Mac app called Fireworks that literally made firework graphics. Are there fireworks in the map?

Re: What computer item would you put in a 50 yr time capsule
To me, it's what do I want to remind them of in 50 years. What's interesting to us now will be forgotten or a distant memory in 50 years. Anyone reading this post may have children already, could possibly have grandchildren. We're talking something for generations ahead to see. What for us is an imp...

Re: The 16 Player Limit?
I do not support raising the 16 player limit. At least for current Myth. 16 works. It has worked, for a long time. It worked when there thousands of players at once. Most maps can barely hold 16 players and/or were specifically made to suit that many or even less both in terms of units and size. I c...

What computer item would you put in a 50 yr time capsule?
A small time capsule will be buried for 50 years. We're talkin.. maybe 1.5 feet x 2 feet tall. What computer related item would you put in it? If you wanted to place some computer files for the person 50 years from now to find.. what would you store them on? A floppy disk? A burned cd? DVD? Bluray? ...

Ars Technica article on Stuxnet malware - for the laymen
This is a good read about Stuxnet -- what it did and how it was discovered. In short, it was an extremely sophisticated piece of malware created to attack something very specific. http://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/news/2011/07/how-digital-detectives-deciphered-stuxnet-the-most-menacing-malware-in-h...
