Re: myth2 1.8 suggestions

Thanks for the responses. I personally like both but prefer the Myth 2 gameplay over Myth 3, I think It was a backstep in some gameplay and control details, and the sprites have magic. I am sure the upgrades will come with time. Id love to see reescaled unit sprites, and smooth animations on them. ...

Re: Working with unit graphics

Oak does all of what you want it to do, but in a different form, optimized for Magma's upresing project that I've been telling you to just wait for. It's basically "select old unit", "select new unit renders directory", "hit ok", "watch magic happen". That sa...

Re: Working with unit graphics

Here's as far as I could get with this, got most of the Warrior and Bowman animations realigned but still not perfect. Most of the objects are scaled to normal size, selection boxes were quickly adjusted.. but its too much work (mostly realigning the animations) So I'm posting this test so people ca...

Re: Forgot this mod

Sounds more like 7th Dwarf to me. How old is this plugin you're thinking of Mind? 7th Dwarf is newer than TotLK, but both feature gruelling hallways. Reason I think it's 7th Dwarf is there arent really as many puzzles as Throne has, and no puzzles were mentioned. If the plugin you're after is neith...

Forgot this mod

Hey I remember playing a mod quite a long time ago I think, a coop plugin that had grueling fights up these long hallways, and when you got to the end it opened a door to another hallway, does that sound familiar ? It was really fun with great gameplay, anyone know the name of it...

Re: Working with unit graphics

That is the part that is tedious and rather boring to do. As for how to compare with original, you could go about it a number of ways. Rename the local folder then load Oak. Duplicate the original collections so they have a different name and tagid than the original. It automatically gives it a dif...

Re: Working with unit graphics

I still think it's great that you're pursuing this, but it's to no ends. Someone should point him to TWindA demo perhaps? A) It would save Mind a ton of time, B) It would show him how high res sprites lag computers. Just to add to pyros comment about tags, it's probably less likely in the default t...

Re: Working with unit graphics

Click on the Sequences tab and double click on a sequence. Double click on any of the bitmaps you see from that sequence. You will have to re-align/re-center all the images. You probably want to see the original collection and compare with the new one. Click and dragging will move the bitmap. Holdi...

Re: Working with unit graphics

I'm having trouble matching some of the names in Oak with it's counterpart in Fear. For instance the warrior in Oak says the tag is "wam2" but I can't find it in the Fear objects, the "warrior" in Fear says the tag is "waob" so the resizing didn't work...

Re: Working with unit graphics

Once you modify the collection tag, the new one is saved in your local folder. You will need open Fear and find the "object" tag the monster tags for those units use. Modify their scale so they aren't like twice the original size. For example, if the modifed images are twice the size and ...

Re: Working with unit graphics

Once you have the images modified and wish to replace the original, open the warrior collection and right click on a bitmap. Select "All Bitmaps" > "Replace". Select all bitmaps you wish to import. Ctrl A will auto select all in the folder. Once this is done, the easy part is ov...

Re: Working with unit graphics

The 4th image and the 4th tagset out of the 5th attempt of your modified images. Cool, I like how these are turning out, except for that splotch on the sword. Hey I have Oak now so is it hard to do this myself? Could you post a quick tutorial, ehehe it might save you some time in the future, cause ...

Re: Working with unit graphics

The image for this version of the tagset . It's that time again! "What time is it?" Time for Pyro to update MindBrain's high res Warrior tags! Seriously these new bmps should be much improved, more detail, more smoothness, edge pixels are cleaned up. Now I want to run this PS action on ev...
