Re: Thinking about a Laptop...
Yeah I mean this desktop should be capable of handling all the newest games at max settings, but for the things I need it to do, it's been very disappointing and frustrating. I'm on my 4th set of Bose speakers because they kept failing so I kept having to return them to the manufacturer. Computer ju...

Thinking about a Laptop...
I know Myth is old and all, but if my high-powered desktop can't handle it at its max settings, I'm wondering if a 15.6" laptop with Intel 4000 graphics will? I am just looking for a $500-$600 laptop, any ideas on my aforementioned question? Also I had a Dell laptop that lasted me 7 years with ...

Re: Delay After Alt-Tabbing
I took it to a reputable shop, and they gave me a laundry list of things they tested and everything checked out fine. I'm still having the alt-tab issue by the way even when in windowed mode. Like if I have skype running in the background, and I alt tab a few times between it and Myth, the delay can...

Re: Delay After Alt-Tabbing
Whatever is causing your freezing problem is likely to blame for your FPS lag then. It makes sense now as your computer should not be having the issue you stated unless something was wrong. Could be its overheating, some piece of hardware is dying, a virus, or some software issue which an OS update...

Re: Delay After Alt-Tabbing
Yeah it remains at 60 until there is a lot of graphics like on a mazz or gladiators game, but that might be related to the tex cache so we'll see. I reboot 1-2 times a week... not always by choice because my computer has been freezing. It comes and goes, when its freezing, it does it in waves of lik...

Re: Delay After Alt-Tabbing
If I turn the tex cache all the way down wouldn't that help? Also I forgot I was running DirectX... I was on OpenGL... Okay so I tried unchecking vsync with openGL, max 90, and it was choppy when moving camera. I set it on 300 and it was better but still not perfect. Then I did with Vsync on and it ...

Re: Funky Myth Idea
Yeah um the most I can do with a computer is play myth and look up porn. I do want to learn how to adjust already made plugins and maps though.

Re: Delay After Alt-Tabbing
Here's what I have:
I don't know what Max FPS is, or Tex cache. I also do not like motion interpolation. Also don't know what the difference is in the sound selection.

Re: Delay After Alt-Tabbing
Been trying windowed mode and it seems to be much better. Still get some FPS lag in big games. That would just be my computer at that point but no more delay after alt tabbing.

Funky Myth Idea
So I got to thinking what else could really be added to the Myth engine. I ask you developers, could this scenario actually be done? Okay, so we have moving water that runs across the map. And we've created objects that go over waterfalls and flow down the river, but what about the units? So basical...

Re: Delay After Alt-Tabbing
Doesn't it run non-full screen though in windowed mode? i.e. i'd still have min/max/escape buttons in the top right?

Delay After Alt-Tabbing
I experience delay during gameplay (on my own host) after alt tabbing. The game will start, units respond normally and everything is fine. After alt tabbing to the desktop once or twice, when I go back to the game, the units are literally delaying their responses as if playing on a bad host. The gam...
