Sounds like you most likely have some edited tags in your local folder. If so delete them and that will fix the issue. The only other thing that sounds possible is that you have some other plugin activated.

Did you already have TFL installed? Project magma only hosts the TFL 1.5 update afaik. The update would not include all of the .gor files, which would explain them being missing.

There is not. I think there may have been some attempts to do something like this for specific maps with scripting, but there is certainly no general purpose ai/multiplayer bots in myth.
