Some plugins, even though they have solo maps, can only be run under the multiplayer option, if I'm not mistaken. This plugin might be one of those. If that's the case, it'll still run just like it would under Single Player, except for no saving or changing the game speed.

If the screen is cracked, then yes, it could very well get worse as time goes on.

What should happen is that when you finish the level it takes you back to the scores screen. If you then press 'restart game' it takes you back to the screen where you start games from, and automatically loads the next map so all you have to do is have everyone press 'ready' and then start the game....
