Re: Warfare Axis Vs. Allies for Myth 1.72 WAVA

Not sure if I had tried this before, but I'm downloading and I'm gonna check it out. If I can form any coherent opinions I'll post about it

Re: myth2 1.8 suggestions

Yes it is, but keep in mind the devs didn't ask for suggestions. Someone just wanted to make some and created this thread where others posted their ideas as well. People tend to discuss things in the forums, so don't take people's disagreements or follow-up questions as a way of saying you shouldn'...

Re: myth2 1.8 suggestions

Ok no problem. I'm just putting the idea out there, and if it gets made cool if not oh well. Figure it's better to try posting about it and see what happens, this thread is for 1.8 suggestions right?

Re: myth2 1.8 suggestions

A hotkey to make it really big might be a nice idea, but there seems to be little use for the game like this. Why see the units on the overhead map when you can see them with ease on the actual map? I suppose this could be useful for looking at multiple battles all at once, but you can click on the...

Re: myth2 1.8 suggestions

Hmmmmm I think ya'll are making it way too complicated. All I'm saying is an option that lets people play with the map small and out of the way (like you can already do if you want) with the ability to hold a key (or do the mouse over but the keypress would be simpler) and the map gets bigger. It do...

Re: myth2 1.8 suggestions

...then having to press shift, find the corner of the map, click, and drag... It works on the whole overhead map, no need to find the corner to resize. It seems people use the overhead map differently. When the resize feature was first added, Myth would always start it in the default size. People c...

Re: myth2 1.8 suggestions

I figured mousing over the map on accident is not a problem because just as quickly you can take the mouse off and it reverts back to small, and if you could control the speed of the zoom for each expanding and contracting you could probably set it how you like. Well I think it's a great idea of cou...

Re: myth2 1.8 suggestions

do you mean you would like the overhead map to auto-zoom? Yea the overhead map. When you move the mouse over, it's expands to a set size (scale of 1 to 10 I guess, 10 being as large as the overhead can get on your monitor) And when you move the mouse back to the battlefield (off the overhead map) I...

Re: myth2 1.8 suggestions

New suggestions: I thought it would be awesome to have a auto zoom map. So you move the mouse over the map and it quickly expands to bigger size, move the mouse off the map and it reverts to regular size. It could be an option in the preferences with settings: Expanded size (number 1 to 10), Compact...

Re: myth2 1.8 suggestions

What's the word on 1.8 is it coming along? I got a new suggestion if it's possible. Can the plugin list be color coded, or marked in any other way, to show which plugins are solo/coop, which are multiplayer and which have both solo/coop and multiplayer? Would make it easier if you have lots of plugi...

Re: myth2 1.8 suggestions

Suggestion: Audio sound that lets you know when someone joins your host. For when you have the game open in the background and doing stuff in other windows. Also, let Archers shift attack, to attack multiple units, instead of focusing on just one. Might even make archer battles more interesting... I...

Re: myth2 1.8 suggestions

From those two images it appears that with the increased contrast you've totally messed up the colouration for hue changes in the process. Notice how in your top screen every unit looks far oversaturated compared to their original counterparts? Yes 60 - 80k for each bmp file. The color table is the...

Re: myth2 1.8 suggestions

Yea I never was trying to add more detail, just basically eliminate the "JPGness" of the original sprites, and I wanted it done quick. Your B mockup is only resized and nothing more so it doesn't look any sharper. I use a combination of layers with blending, some median filter, and poster...

Re: myth2 1.8 suggestions

You just proved my point. You managed to preserve what detail was originally there. Not increase it. So ultimately, scaled down with the object tag, there is no extra detail. I'll give you sharper edges, that's true, and if that's what looks good to you, fair enough. This is my idea of a higher res...

Re: myth2 1.8 suggestions

I don't care what anyone tells you, taking a resolution that is small, and making it large, does not _add_ any detail to the unit. It makes tiny things bigger. Sure you've increased the resolution, but not the graphical quality. The only way to add detail with your increased resolution is to render...
