Re: "Spiritless Ice"- Teaser

What I ment to say was, There is no way to import/export Mesh shading or Model shading. :::EDIT If i try to generate mesh shading and model shading on super huge maps loathing crashes::: AND When I try to generate a really REALLY large shadowmap loathing allways crashes. I misspoke when I said you c...

Re: "Spiritless Ice"- Teaser

Err also if maps had 24-32 bit colormaps AND detail textures i DOUT that you would even NEED shadow maps at this point. The maps would look soo awesome, fuck shadow maps if they are the hold up! you can allways simulate shadow maps in photoshop on the colormaps anyways.

Re: "Spiritless Ice"- Teaser

DOH! This reminds me of something...There should be a way to IMPORT shadow maps and lighting maps into loathing. As with larger...Ahem SUPER large ones like 8192X65536 (myths current maxmium map collection size) if you try to generate them in loathing it will crash. I could make them in photoshop an...

Re: "Spiritless Ice"- Teaser

Well Pyro, it would be for collections, for units surely, :::Crosses fingers::: and i would imagine the images for maps are part of collections so it would extend to them as well......hopefully ~8^) If the plan isnt currently to have maps with 24 or 32 bit collections, the plan should be changed! Th...

Re: Greek Hoplites units - project on the march

JG I was not really thinking about adding this by an group that donates their time and energy to myth. More like paid programmers or new game engine. As i described it, i dout it could be added to myth in 1.8-1.9 or 2.0 It would be a huge undertaking to have the devation and stuff from any given uni...

Re: myth2 1.8 suggestions

Yes we both agree that band selecting units that dont belong to the captain should be turned off in game. (an option or not it matters little) That was the problem my friend allways had. He played cira 1997-1999 BTW It screws me up with the hitting enter, to select my units if a few teamates are mix...

Re: myth2 1.8 suggestions

There is not a single reason why captains should be able to control units that do not belong to them. If they want to control them, detach them. There are many MANY reasons, as I stated above, why captains should not be able to control other's units the captain does not own.

Re: "Spiritless Ice"- Teaser

Interesting map bamboo, makes me think its a cross between Noah's ark on mount Ararat, and an Ice cave. I was going to say, "make sure you save an RGB file of the map" since there will be more then just support for indexed stuff in myth soon. Are you sure you dont have a backup hidden some...

Re: myth2 1.8 suggestions

I was just thinking the other day that the dots on the map should resize some along with the map, so yea I second that! I was playing an intense 2 team game of keep across the river the other day, and I got messed up a few times when i told my units to move to a location on the ground, its was in th...

Re: Greek Hoplites units - project on the march

Well my mistake has responding at all to VR. I have not checked out the forums much over the years, but from what I have seen, he likes to argue about anything with anybody. I wont make this same mistake again. Pyro, well put, I shall heed this advice. Ooga I remeber you worked on Heros of COOP and ...

Re: Greek Hoplites units - project on the march

So the only way to know something is if your read the knowledge or work others have done and said before? Hehe thats cute. I talking about what I know from being involved in myth content creation and speaking to varius people that programmed stuff into myth itself. Ranging from TFL bungie Employees,...

Re: Greek Hoplites units - project on the march

Note I said, "One of" And the AI scripting tags for units feature would have been a static thing, because it was setting up AI behaviours for units in Fear settings. It was not going to be dynamic in game. Much like how on the map where you fight Shiver, she will Auto target any satchles t...

Re: Greek Hoplites units - project on the march

This, is why myth needed one of the features Bungie WANTED to add more then anything, but they never got a chance to implement it before TFL shipped: Programmable Formations! There would also have to be some kind of dynamic function to formations where units could attack and be attacked and keep the...
