Re: Deadhold

Hey all! Quick update ... Deadhold got Greenlit on Steam today! Huge thanks to everyone who voted for us! This means we can now publish Deadhold on Early Access when we decide we're ready. Lots for us devs to discuss internally with this hurdle now cleared, but I wanted to share the big news. :) -fisj

Re: Deadhold

Quick update, We're gearing up for semi regular closed playtests, but also getting the ball rolling on the community side of things. 1) I just set up a Newsletter & Alpha Signup page. Please sign up if you're interested in testing our alpha, and or general news updates. We have a small group tha...

Re: Deadhold

We'll be adding soft body deaths soon(tm), there are some ragdoll issues that are hard to work with for now. As you might imagine, we've got about a bazillion things on a list, and we're working through the stuff that's gameplay critical first. :)

Re: Deadhold

@Da Cid Done. If you check out our recent MP tests, you'll see we've got true bridges in there, and a lot of LOS ruins geo. Also, part of our camera allowing pitch when orbiting is to give players greater opportunity to look around line of sight geometry. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0PfZ3nInq60 ...

Re: Deadhold

New Deadhold Multiplayer Alpha Video: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=RmPzEI2R2co This is a complete rewrite from our original blue mannequin prototype. The core C++ systems are now in place and we have a solid foundation that we can build on. We're taking a very iterative approach to development and a...

Re: Deadhold

Sorry I wasn't clear, I meant anyone with the requisite skill, and a current subscription to unreal4. (and arguably the rights to the Myth IP) ;) Epic is missing some functionality to fully enable mods - the ability to package content in a distributable way (non-patch). I believe this is on their ro...

Re: Deadhold

@Garrick - Our keybindings use the actionmapping system in U4, so we should be able to offer players the ability to remap most of their keys. We think we have a pretty good default control scheme that's /gasp ... better than Myth. But my thinking is that we'll provide a control scheme option that's ...

Re: Deadhold

What kind of presets would you like? I took a look at some of the changes in 1.8. Right now its pretty wide open. I'd love to hear people's thoughts on this.

Re: Deadhold

FYI, I registered a Deadhold IRC channel on GameSurge: 1) https://gamesurge.net/chat/ (Or do your regular IRC thing if you're familiar with it) 2) Enter your nickname 3) Type "/join ‪#‎deadhold‬" This channel is intended to be an informal place to discuss Deadhold, RTT/RTS games, gam...

Re: Deadhold

This definitely needs to be tested. So far my thinking is this: 1) I'm not sure I really want to be surprised in battle, I have access to that info anyway, but its annoying to get it. My initial instinct is to expose that in a friendlier "at a glance" way. 2) We want to try other health in...

Re: Deadhold

@adrenaline, I've been running some tests for the visibility of the warrior models while they're all beating the snot out of each other. Its a concern, and I got to wondering what the motivation was for bungie to hide all health and team information by default. Presumably because it was a visual mes...

Re: Deadhold

Sorry for the sporadic updates, we've been crazy busy! I threw up two images to a gallery on the deadhold site: http://www.deadhold.com/dev-gallery/ 1) Art Style: We've started narrowing the art style for both terrain and characters. A lot of this is design based decisions, such as ensuring characte...

Hey all, We've begun the Steam Greenlight process, and need your help voting to get Deadhold approved. Vote here: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=315297927 For those not familiar, steam greenlight is a voting process where the community votes on their favorite games. Re: Deadhold

Hey GodzFire, We're not bringing anyone on to the team currently, but we will need help evangelizing, and a bit later, playtesting and offering feedback on the prototypes. I think the feeling is that we'd like everyone's help on this, and aren't making any pre-emptive bans. :) That said, counter pro...
